  • Things to look at…

Sometimes, when I can’t especially think of anything particularly brilliant to write, I’ll play with numbers, and look at graphs. And sometimes I just write anyway. This isn’t one of those times. Here are some things to look at, while I try and think of something better.—

Here’s the stat overview going into the Husker-Bluejay game set for 6:35 Tuesday night at Haymarket Park in Lincoln:

And here’s one for the upcoming Oakland-Detroit series:

Chris Shelton is on his way to hitting 112 homers this year, and is OPSing 1.716, which is so completely ridiculous that I think I’m going to have to post this to counteract his mojo:

He kind of looks like Sloth, from The Goonies… Shelton’s picture this year is better than last year’s, though, so he’s getting off easy. It’s only a mild similarity this season.

I recently (thanks to Apricot of AN WinExp fame) acquired the ability to efficiently find Win Expectancy numbers for games, and therefore quickly produce pretty graphs of them. Here’s one for a game that went south, but hopefully in the near future I can post some that are more happy for A’s fans…
