  • Derek Lowe: Liar liar pants on fire

This is too good to pass up.

Derek Lowe’s pants caught on fire.

    I’m serious, look
    :

…Manager Grady Little said Lowe not only provided a win, but some unintended dugout humor when his pants caught on fire.

“He was talking to [Greg] Maddux and got too close to that kerosene heater over there and [coach Manny] Mota said, ‘Your pants are on fire,’” said Little. “Burned a hole this big in the pant leg. He was coming up in the inning, and he had to run back in and change. We were down, 4-1, but everybody started laughing.”

Said Lowe: “I would have laughed, too, if it happened to somebody else. See, this is what I bring to an organization. I make everybody laugh.”
