SABR 37
Well, all of the reservations have been made and the flight’s been booked. I’m going to be heading to St. Louis at the end of July for the 37th annual Society for American Baseball Research convention.
I’ll be in St. Louis from July 25th to July 30th, so if you’ll be there, too, leave me a comment or send me an email. If you somehow get your hands on an extra Cardinals ticket for the time that I’ll be there, please let me know. From what I’ve heard, they were hard enough to get before the birds went and won the World Series…
As for the convention itself, I’m pretty excited about getting to meet many of my fellow baseball lovers. Hopefully I’ll run across a few people who’ve noticed my writing, or have laid the groundwork for some of what I’ve done here. It’ll be nice to put faces to these names, and actually have a conversation in person, rather than by electronic means.
I’m considering putting together a short presentation on the work I’ve been doing with the Western League. I’ll have to see how much I’ve accomplished by the submission deadline.
This will be my first SABR convention, and I’ve got to admit that I’m really looking forward to it.
