  • And They Begin to Trickle in to Camp…

While the date for pitchers and catchers to report is — for most organizations — a few days away, some have already begun to show up. Josh Beckett, perhaps in an attempt to avoid another thoroughly mediocre season like his last, is already throwing the ball in Ft. Myers.

The Nationals and Yankees have also had some players show up, and almost every club will have its practice fields in shape and in use over the next day or two.

The A’s have begun to trickle into camp, anticipating the February 16th voluntary deadline for pitchers and catchers. Rich Harden has been tossing the ball, and is reportedly feeling healthy and ready to go. Other players have simply dropped off their belongings at the clubhouse, and will be ready to go for the first practice on Saturday.
