  • Rich Dentist Sues Lidle’s Family?!

    This is just unbelievable:

A dentist to the rich and famous has filed a $7 million lawsuit against the estate of late New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle, claiming his home was destroyed when the ballplayer’s small airplane crashed into his apartment building.

Dr. Lawrence Rosenthal says in court papers that after Lidle’s Cirrus SR-20 aircraft crashed into the Manhattan building where he lived with his wife and teenage son, they had to vacate their 43rd-floor apartment.

Rosenthal, whose patients include Donald Trump, Bruce Springsteen and Catherine Zeta-Jones, said his apartment sustained “severe damage, including broken windows, smoke damage, loose bricks and extensive other damage” that forced them out.

This guy doesn’t have insurance? He’s really going to sue the family of a man that died – as most evidence suggests – because of an accident caused by possible mechanical failure?

    That’s disgusting.

If this was anyone other than a baseball player (with money), this would never happen. A dentist — who has been accused in the past of being less-than-upstanding — decides that since his apartment had a broken window and loose bricks, he should sue the family of a man that died in an accident?

Why should the homeowner’s insurance company have to pay? Why not Lidle’s insurance company? And if Lidle didn’t have insurance, because he thought he could afford not to, then why shouldn’t his estate pay? The apartment was just sitting there minding its own business, after all.

    2. Dennis Says:

Yes, the apartment didn’t do anything wrong and fyomh objects believe it or not is covered by home owners insucranc policy’s. If the Dentist’s insurance doesn’t cover it or even if it does they have recourse to go after the guilty party or responsible party in this case the owner of the airplane. Hopefully Mr. Lidle had insurance or who ever owned the plance did. So, yeagh the dentist needs to be reimbursed for his loses whatever they are. Now you can agrue the amount but whatever it is he’s got some dollars coming!

    3. Dennis Says:

God I can’t type nor proof read my work anymore??

it should be flying objects and insurance policy’s Duh!
      and plane …and yeah???
