[This is partially off-topic, but I thought that I should give credit where it’s due.]

So, I’m here in Tempe, as you probably know. It can be hard for a non-local like me to find a nice place to be able to write and access the internet.

Well, I’ve found a great place to do both.

It’s a sandwich-place/bar on Mill Avenue called Bison Witches. Of course, I’m familiar with them, since their location in Lincoln is one of my favorite places to hang out and write. It’s a small chain, with locations in Lincoln, Neb., Norman, Okla., Tucson, Ariz., and here in Tempe.

The waitress here not only was helpful in getting me a booth back in the corner where I’d be undisturbed, but made sure I had an outlet for my laptop and kept my water topped off. She also encouraged me to stay as long as I felt like, even though I finished my sandwich two hours ago.

So, in addition to the well-deserved tip that my waitress is getting, this particular location of Bison Witches is getting my full endorsement. Whatever that’s worth…
