During batting practice before today’s Rangers-A’s game in Phoenix, some of Nick Swisher’s teammates decided that he needed to learn to hit to the opposite field.

So they gave him an incentive. They pulled his truck onto the right field warning track.

Someone — not the normal stadium guy — came over the PA and announced that “If you’ll turn your attention to the right field warning track, Nick Swisher’s brand new truck is being pulled onto the field. It’s a two-wheel drive F-150, and it will be raffled off to a fan after the game!”

Sadly, they didn’t pull a Joe Carter and actually give away the truck.

Some of the ringleaders stood around the truck to keep fly balls from actually hitting it, which was considerate of them.
